The new position I took as a full time stay-at-home mom has not been a natural or easy adjustment, as I thought it would. I pictured myself waking up hours before everyone else to have coffee and quiet time, exercise, and clean the house. Nap time would be when I start and complete all my d.i.y. projects and finally get around to writing that book I’d penned in my head. The reality is, my daughter is a very early riser and I don’t have the basics of household management down! All my time as a single woman was spent trying to further my career or play with my free time. I am not a talented cook, a gifted hostess, or even a decent homemaker, but it has always been the desire of my heart to create a home where the stresses of life can be eased, my family can grow, feel loved, protected, and most of all, glorify the Lord.
As I gain more experience, my skills have been increasing. I plan on sharing my successes and failures…hopefully, more successes! Because if a newbie like me can do it, so can you!
